We went down to the Rio Grande River to celebrate Makaiya’s third birthday. Makaiya is one of my favorite models and is so much fun to photograph.   

I was able to convince my friend and ballerina, Teesha, to come out early one morning for a session with her daughter in front of the Sandias.  

Childhood sessions are some of my favorites, especially when those kids are our nephews and niece. I got to spend an hour with these three in the bosque.

Last spring we took our besties out to the middle of nowhere for a Mother’s Day Session in the Rio Rancho desert, with the Sandias as our backdrop. 

Mother’s Day Sessions in the spring are one my favorites. It’s amazing how much love kids show for their moms when they know the session is all about her.
